The new University of East Anglia Mooc, ¡°Preparing for University¡±, will go live on 20 January next year, and is aimed primarily at sixth-form students as an introduction to the skills valued by universities.
Harriet Jones, senior lecturer in Biology at UEA, said the course would ¡°provide material to help students develop a degree of independent study¡±, and that it was hoped sixth-form teachers would help students to get the most from the Mooc.
¡°It has been developed with sixth-form teachers and university staff, to provide a first step on the transition from school to university,¡± Dr Jones said.
The nine new courses, listed below, take the total number of FutureLearn Moocs to 29 (click here for previously announced courses).
