A fresh gloss on Stephen Fry's disappearance from his West End performance in Cell Mates.

Mr Fry is rector of Dundee University, and because of changes to Cell Mates, had to cancel a show he was proposing to give in Dundee a fortnight ago with Hugh Laurie, intended to raise money for the students' hardship fund. Apologising profusely, he indicated that the two-man show would go ahead on another occasion. Perhaps the paparazzi should shift their attention from Bruges to the silvery Tay.
