Natfhe, the university and college lecturers' union was expected to submit a claim for a flat pay increase of nearly Pounds 2,900 for l995/96 on all scales to the College Employers' Forum today. But employers will probably not give a pay rise to staff on old contracts and will not offer those on new ones more than a 2.7 per cent increase. Staff ready to sign will be told they have until July 3l to do so if they want 2.9 per cent given in l994/95.
