Oddly absent from the 1995 edition of the Corpus Christi College, Oxford magazine The Pelican Record, is any review of the memoirs of former president Sir Kenneth Dover, which caused something of a stir around a year ago. No review appeared in the 1994 edition either - but the suggestion then was that it was too late for consideration. So the chillingly open account of Sir Kenneth's relations with college librarian Trevor Aston and reaction to his eventual suicide will go forever unrecorded - here at least.
