Alumni to be proud of nos 17 and 18 are the chief protagonists in Dulwich College's recent travails. On the one hand Anthony Verity, college master from 1986 until last week when he was forced to step down after forming what governors felt was an "inappropriate" relationship with his secretary. On the other, chair of governors Sir Colin Cole, under fire from a parents group who want the whole board removed for "incompetence". Both of them went to Pembroke College, Cambridge.
