The National Lottery Charities Board suggested a list of good causes that might be worthy of its handouts, and asked 8,000 charities and voluntary organisations to vote on them. Their votes mirrored the board's suggestions in all but one category, which was avoided by voters - organisations for those who suffer from discrimination.
