Already the 1996 competition to get the longest word into the title of a research paper has been won, by Deborah Dixon of East Carolina University and John Paul Jones III of the University of Kentucky. Their presentation to the Royal Geographical Society this week is entitled "Towards a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious scientific geography".
