The festive edition of the British Medical Journal includes a paper on whether Squirrel Nutkin had Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, which causes uncontrollable gesticulations and verbal outbursts. Correspondence on the paper is to go to Gareth Williams, professor of medicine at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, but the accompanying press release notes: "Unusually for the BMJ, one of the co-authors is a dog."
