Engineers from De Montfort University used a Pounds 35,000 Teaching Company Scheme grant to work on the ball (seen here with the Ivory Coast team and their elephant mascot) with manufacturers James Gilbert - and claim some of the credit for Rob Andrew's amazing drop goal in the quarter final against Australia.
