The future of EU research and opportunities for new Member States

A conference on the future of European Union research and development policies and opportunities for the new Member States will take place in Warsaw, Poland, on 4 February.

The event will be attended by EU Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik and Polish Minister for Scientific Research and Information Technology, Michal Kleiber. A number of high-level representatives from industry and academia will also give presentations.

The event is being organised by the Polish Lisbon Strategy Forum and the Polish National Contact Point for the EU's research programmes.
