An industrial tribunal test case against the Colleges Employers Forum for denying a pay rise to "Silver Book" lecturers has been adjourned for six weeks. Lecturers from Sandwell College are claiming breach of contract by the CEF after only holders of its post-FE incorporation contract received pay rises last year. The lecturers' costs are being met by a legal fund set up by lecturers at Havering College. More than 30 other claims are pending awaiting the outcome.
