An unwanted birthday present for Ken Edwards, vice chancellor of Leicester University, whose 62nd birthday on Monday was marked by a listing in The Guardian alleging that he is chairman of the Committee of Vice Chancellors and Principals. The good news for Dr Edwards, who was CVCP chairman until last summer, is that he is not suffering some time-travelling nightmare and Gareth Roberts is still stuck with them.
