In your news article ¡°In mission to protect students, OfS will be ¡®tough and rational¡¯¡± (News, 16?November), you report Nicola Dandridge, the incoming chief executive of the Office for Students, as saying: ¡°You only have a higher education experience once.¡± She goes on to imply that this unique experience happens early in a student¡¯s life for ¡°two, three or four years¡±.
Really?
Her assertions must come as something of a shock to inter?alia Birkbeck, University of London and the Open University.?
Even in the 19th century, what she says was not always true; far less in the 21st century.
