Philosopher Stephen Mumford (¡°The truth is out there¡±, Features, 29?June) is concerned about practical relevance in his subject, yet his ¡°metaphysics of absences¡± seems limited to one room that lacks a hippopotamus.
Will this research gradually be extended in scope to apply to other rooms not holding other species ¨C a?bat, an alligator, a Maine Coon? Or a?load of bull?
