We are delighted that Times Higher Education is a finalist in four categories of the prestigious British Data Awards 2024.?
The is an annual quest to discover and celebrate the UK¡¯s data success stories.
THE is a finalist for:?
- Climate Change Initiative of the Year ¨C for THE¡¯s pioneering Impact Rankings, which support universities' work towards delivering all of the United Nation¡¯s Sustainable Development Goals, including of course SDG 13 - climate action. ? ?
- Data for Good Initiative of the Year ¨C for the ground-breaking Sub-Saharan Africa Rankings, developed in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation to provide a unique set of performance metrics and an evaluation framework specifically designed to meet the needs of African universities south of the Sahara and the goals of Vision 2063.?
- Data Team of the Year a new category introduced for the first time in 2024 to reflect team recognition.?
- Duncan Ross, THE's chief data officer, for Data Leader of the Year.?
Commenting on being a finalist in the four categories, Duncan Ross, chief data officer said: ?

This reflects our ongoing development in support of our mission to combine data and expertise within a global platform helping universities deliver transformative impact for people, places and the planet.
