World University Rankings 2020 by subject: clinical, pre-clinical and health

The 2020 Times Higher Education World University Rankings table for clinical, pre-clinical and health subjects uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings, but the metric weightings have been recalibrated to suit the individual fields.

It highlights the universities that are leading across medicine, dentistry and other health subjects.

The ranking includes 775 universities, up from 721 last year.

The University of Oxford leads the table for the ninth consecutive year, while Harvard, Cambridge, Imperial College London and Stanford still complete the top five. ?

Canada¡¯s University of Toronto is a standout performer in this year¡¯s table, climbing seven places to sixth, while Yale University also joins the top 10 in ninth place, up from 11th. The University of Melbourne falls out of this elite group, dropping five places to 14th.

Asia¡¯s highest ranked institution, the National University of Singapore, climbs seven places to 19th. Other universities in the continent have also made strong progress, including Japan¡¯s Tokyo and Kyoto universities and China¡¯s Peking University.
