2iE - International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering is based on the Rue de la Science and surrounded by other academic institutions in Ougadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso.
2iE - International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering was formed in 2007 through the merger of two institutions.
Students number are spread across departments of engineering science, electrical and energy engineering, civil engineering, water, sanitation and hydro-agricultural development engineering, and human, social and management sciences. Around sixty per cent come from outside Burkina Faso, with recognised student groups from 20 countries.
