?About the role?

Delivery and transformational impact are hallmarks of our regional civic activity. This role will support civic projects already underway and taking our civic agenda to the next ambitious level.

It is a people-focused role - an exciting opportunity to connect and engage partners inside and outside the University and to devise and deliver projects that step up to the region’s challenges and opportunities. Team working and a collegiate approach is essential.

Allocating and managing resources for projects with transparency and accountability are an important in this position.?

It includes spreading a culture of partner-led civic engagement across the University and producing an ongoing, memorable narrative about our civic impact.

About you?

You will be an excellent networker with the confidence to be an effective ambassador for the University’s civic role. You will be strongly motivated by making a difference and getting things done.

As part of a new and small team you will relish the opportunity to contribute fresh, ?ideas and you will have a track record in managing projects efficiently with some experience of organising events. You will be confident gathering and analysing information from diverse sources and presenting messages with clarity.

Experience and insight into working with industry/business and a diversity of organisations across the public sector will be welcome. ?As will knowledge of and contacts within the Hampshire/Solent region.

As deputy to the Director, Civic University, this is an exciting opportunity to show strategic and dynamic leadership and be able to represent the core aims of the Civic University of Southampton to external and internal senior partners.

The post presents opportunities for creative approaches to issues identified by civic partners, and the communities, and private and public sectors embraced in the region. ?

The role involves forging and maintaining strong collaborations and exploring revenue generating activities and funding for the Civic agenda.

About you?

You will be an experienced manager of teams and partnerships with a focus on strategic thinking and a creative vision.

Experience and insight into working with business/industry and a diversity of organisations across the public sector will be welcome. ?You will be action focused, good at analysing complex issues and devising a way forward. You will enjoy networking and forging new productive partnerships.

?You will have a track record for driving successful projects to completion with an emphasis on impact and robust ways of monitoring results.

Installing and managing appropriate governance arrangements will be second nature to you.

You will be passionate about the potential for the Civic University of Southampton to transform lives in communities, towns and cities across the South.

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join the International Office (IO) team as Mobility Officer. The successful candidate will play a central role in managing the Erasmus+ and non-EU exchange programmes available to Maynooth University students and staff, as well as actively engaging with the Arqus Alliance, particularly through Working Group 9: Arqus on the Move. The Mobility Officer will work closely with the IO team and the Arqus Alliance Team, collaborating with MU academic departments and support units, and supporting MU students, staff, and partner universities.?

This important position is responsible for raising significant philanthropic income to help advance the University. Based in the Development Team, you will work alongside brilliant fundraisers who share years of experience but are eager to learn from the expertise and perspective of others. Our current fundraising priorities cover an innovative student scholarship programme and cutting-edge medical research. Exciting times are ahead as we plan our new campaign, which will introduce new projects and ensure this is a varied, enjoyable and rewarding role.

About you

You will be a confident, engaging and enthusiastic fundraiser, motivated by the impact of philanthropy. You will have demonstrable experience of securing 5/6-figure+ gifts from charitable trusts, foundations or companies and will recognise the bespoke approach required to engage with each organisation. You will be an excellent writer, with expertise in creating compelling proposals and funding applications, as well as personalised stewardship communications. With a desire to enable interesting opportunities to connect with, cultivate and steward your donors, you will be tenacious and creative in attracting new fundraising leads, ensuring ongoing philanthropic support for the University.
