Alfarahidi University College of Technical Engineering was established in 2013 to fill the shortage of academic institutions for engineering in Iraq. The university is a pioneer of technical engineering and aims to equip its students with the skills required to become an expert in the industry.
The university is located in Iraq*s capital city, Baghdad. The largest city in Iraq and the second largest in the Arab world, Baghdad has become the cultural, commercial, and intellectual centre of the country.
The university offers teaching in three main departments, namely aeronautical technical engineering, architecture engineering, and communication technical engineering.
Students studying aeronautical technical engineering learn how to work with specialised equipment, machinery, and aircraft engines. They are also taught how to use applied mechanics and thermal power in relation to flight theory and other areas of aeronautical technical engineering.
Architecture engineering is concerned with all areas of architecture and urban planning and design. The department provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to meet local, national, and international architectural demands.
The communication technical engineering department opened in 2016 and has since then been providing students with technical, scientific and engineering methods to improve cognitive ability. Students learn the infrastructure of modern communication systems and develop the skills to implement the required engineering equipment.
The university*s mission is to provide its students with an education that adheres to global standards of scientific and technological development. It is committed to ensuring its graduates achieve excellence in engineering at local, regional and global levels.
