This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position.The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian adjunct faculty in our Scott & White School of Nursing for Fall 2024.Opportunities include clinical supervision of nursing students at hospitals or other clinical agencies, and working with students in the skills lab.REQUIREMENTS: A master's degree with at least 18 hours in Nursing is required. DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Budgeting and Reporting is responsible for managing the University budget development?and monitoring implementation, while ensuring availability of accurate and effective financial data and?information to produce timely report for management and stakeholders.

Strategic Responsibilities:


	Contribute to the development of the Department's strategy, as well as annual business plans.
	Contribute to the development of the Department's policies and procedures, in line with the overall? business objectives of the University, ensuring they promote leading practices and excellence.
	Contribute to the development and management of the Department’s budgets and report back on a timely basis to ensure that divergences are addressed promptly.


Operational Responsibilities:


	Review and monitor the annual University budget in multi-year projections, to ensure that all? revenues and expenditures are carried out in accordance with the approved budget includes detecting? any discrepancies, deviations and takes necessary rectifications accordingly.
	Manage annual budget planning activities by communicating budget preparation guidelines to all? departments in the University.
	Communicate budget guidelines and instructions to the departments includes provision of budget? development training. Also prepares financial analysis of revenues and expenditures includes?participation in the development and enhancement of financial reporting tools.
	Manage and review the consolidation of all the University budgets in compliance with approved?guidelines; prepare consolidated budget to be presented to the University's Directors and management?for internal approval.
	Communicate the final approved budget to all budget owners internally and monitor actual spending.
	Manage all University’s budget transfers required during the budget year according to approved?
	policies and procedures.
	Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly variance reports between actual and?budgeted figures.
	Manage the preparation and submission of analytical reports for management.
	Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and banks to smooth financial?operations in handling financial affairs.
	Manage the preparation and submission of analytical reports for management.
	Develop and implement robust internal control framework for budgeting and management reporting.
	Ensure proper documentation & supporting information for financial transactions.
	Ensure integrity of financial systems and processes, management reports and research costing system?for University and stakeholders.
	Responsible for projects that are essential for ensuring that the department achieves its strategic?goals and ensures its alignment to the strategic objectives.
	Ensure adherence to the University's information security policies and procedures, and report?breaches or other security risks accordingly.
	Ensure coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and?responsibilities, as and when needed.
	Perform any other tasks assigned by Line Manager.


Supervisory Responsibilities:


	Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring as required to enhance the internal capabilities of the?team and ensure the achievement of established objectives and plans.
	Recommend appropriate training courses as per the pre-determined training needs, evaluate their?effectiveness, and monitor their results.
	Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommend?necessary actions as per the applied practices.
	Conduct periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is?running smoothly.
	Follow-up on employees' administrative affairs such as vacations, leaves and other administrative and?related affairs.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:


	A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.?Professional accountancy designation such as CPA, CA, and CMA preferred.


Required Experience:?


	Expats: A minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
	UAE Nationals: A minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Fashion Interaction Design (Ref. 241031007)

The appointee will be required to

(a)? teach and contribute curriculum development at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels and supervise research students;

(b)? initiate, lead, and participate in research, consultancy, and other scholarly activities leading to publications in refereed journals and/or exhibitions, as well as awards of research grants;

(c)? undertake academic and departmental administrative duties; and

(d)? perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his/her delegates.

Applicants should have

(a)? a PhD degree in Fashion Interaction Design, Digital Fashion, Augmented and/or Virtual Reality Applications, Fashion Imaging Technology, AI-applications of Fashion Design and/or Fashion Business, Metaverse Technology, Programming Applications for Digital Retail Platforms or a related discipline;

(b)? sound knowledge in university teaching and research in fibre sciences, wearable technology, or other related areas in fashion design technology;

(c)? solid research and publication records in high-quality scholarly journals as well as promising potential in bidding for research grants and establishing significant externally funded research programs;

(d)? strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research; and

(e)? excellent communication skills and be able to use English as the medium of instruction.

The Role?

We are seeking to recruit a post-doctoral researcher to work on a SEAI-funded research project entitled ‘Engineering the next generation of efficient? electrocatalysts for the production of renewable hydrogen: A sustainable approach using electrolysis.’ The candidate is expected to develop and optimise the formation of earth abundant electrocatalysts for the formation of renewable hydrogen, focusing on both the hydrogen evolution reaction and various oxidation half-cell reactions. Another important element of the research work is the design and evaluation of electrolytic cells that can produce high purity and renewable hydrogen.

Salary

Post Doctoral Researcher Level 1 (2024): €44,847 p.a. pro-rata (1 point)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
