Altoosi University College was established in 2005 as a non-profit, private higher education institution officially recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq.
The university is situated in Najaf, a city in central Iraq and the capital of Najaf Governorate. It is located approximately 160km south of Baghdad. Najaf is renowned for having the world's largest cemetery, Wadi-us-Salaam.
Altoosi University College offers a diverse range of degree programmes at both undergraduate and graduate levels through the department of medical laboratory techniques, department of nursing, department of Islamic education and the department of Quran sciences.
