AUM College of Engineering and Technology is recruiting full-time faculty members as Assistant/Associate Professors for its Architectural Engineering Department to start from Spring/Fall Semester 2025.

Job Requirements 


	A PhD degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university.?
	Excellent publication records, in particular during the last five years.
	Pursue academic achievements and have a demonstrable research capability.
	Publish his/her research findings in refereed journals.
	Have a solid commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at undergraduate level.
	Prepare teaching materials, maintain and improve competence in subjects being taught.
	Ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment is essential.
	Have demonstrable skills in oral and written English.
	Industry experience is a plus for this position.


In addition to the above requirements, successful applicants should demonstrate teaching experience and research interest in at least one of the following topics:

Job Description

Faculty members are engaged in teaching, services, research and professional development tasks.

Successful candidates are expected to:


	Significantly contribute to the advancement of the research activities and publish research findings in refereed journals.
	Have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, and student advising at undergraduate levels.
	Prepare teaching materials, maintaining and improving competence in subjects being taught.
	Develop and deliver courses to students.
	Prepare class activities, quizzes, assessments and exams.
	Passionately support the college and departmental wide activities and services with a spirit of leadership, commitment, accountability, and collegiality
	Evaluate, monitor and mentor student academic progress.
	Supervise and assist students in all aspects related to the courses.
	Guide, lead and mentor students in research projects.
	Engage actively in promoting the growth of AUM and participate in strategic activities and events.
	Participate in departmental and college meetings and activities.
	Serve and support functional activities of departmental committees.
	Supervise and support TAs and lab instructors.
	Undertake any other duties as may be directed by the Head of Department.

Job Description

?The successful candidate is expected to prepare and deliver the Management Information Systems (MIS) coursework in an engaging, innovative, immersive, and discipline-relevant pedagogical approaches, reflecting commitment, sincerity, integrity, equity, and respect for cultural dimensions while delivering the course material.?

The responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

1. Teach courses in the Management Information Systems (MIS) discipline, such as; Management Information Systems, Operations Management, System Analysis and Design, Project Management, Database Management, Information Security, Business Intelligence and Decision Support Systems, among others.

2. Participate in the departmental activities which includes representation on different academic and support committees.

3. Prepare course material, curriculum design and review, program development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and mentor student projects, events and academic fair projects

4. Remain current with the field of specialization by participating in the faculty development programs and activities, serve on task forces, working groups, and student support committees.

5. Reflect the highest standards of ethics and collegiality in all interactions, teaching, and publication.

6. Meet the necessary deadlines for grades submission and make use of office hours as per the regulations to support student advancement and development.
