Skills and Qualifications

The applicant must have:


	Ph.D. degree in the field of inorganic chemistry or related fields
	Previous international experience – Ph.D. study or long-term postdoctoral fellowship (minimum 2 years) at internationally recognized institutions
	Proven record of scientific work, publication outputs, and scientific presentations
	Capability of establishing and leading a?research group in the field of inorganic chemistry
	Successful grant history
	Experience in teaching and supervising students in the field of inorganic chemistry or relevant fields
	Good knowledge of the Czech and English languages (spoken and written)

Qualifications


	A PhD degree in Computer Science, Traffic Engineering or related disciplines;?
	A distinguished record of internationally-recognized research and scholarship;
	Demonstrable competence in communication; and

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. The Position

This position is funded by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science, which explores societal impacts of optical frequency combs through advances in physics, materials science, and nanofabrication.

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) has recently revolutionised seismology by turning telecommunication fiber-optic cables into high-resolution ground motion sensors. This cutting-edge technology bridges the gap between traditional seismic imaging and geological samples, offering a wide range of applications.

The Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow will work on the deployment, acquisition, analysis and interpretation of large DAS datasets and development of technical advances using optical frequency microcombs.? The goal is to expand the capability of our strong field-based seismic imaging research utilising DAS with new technology innovations through the ARC Centre of Excellence COMBS, and therefore understanding of the Earth’s structure and evolution.

The Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow will be a member of?Research School of Earth Sciences?(RSES).
