Established in 2015, Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University is one of the youngest universities in Turkey.
As its name suggests, the university is located in Bandirma, a city in northwestern Turkey. Bandirma sits south of the Marmara Sea, two hours away from Istanbul, Izmir and Bursa.
There are four institutes within the university: Institute of Sciences, Health Sciences Institute, Social Sciences Institute, and the G?nen Geothermal Institute. Within each institute are different faculties offering a variety of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.
There are also a number of vocational schools based at the university such as the Vocational School of Justice, the Maritime Vocational School and the Vocational School of Health Sciences.
The School of Foreign Languages was set up by the university in order to equip its students with the English language knowledge and skills required by higher education institutions at international standards.
Students at the university are given the opportunity to study abroad at one of its partner institutions as part of a student exchange programme. In return, international students are welcomed by the university for one or two semesters of study.
