Chang Jung Christian University is a private university located in southern Taiwan, associated with Presbyterian beliefs. The university was founded in 1993, but has its roots in the founding of the first Western methodology school in Taiwan in 1885, Chang Jung Senior High School.
The university offers 62 undergraduate programmes as well as 17 master¡¯s programmes and one doctoral programme across its 10 academic divisions. These are: management, health sciences, humanities and social sciences, information and design, theology, continuing education, practice and education for the environment, safety and health sciences, fine arts, and liberal arts education.
Across campus, students are able to use the library and information building which has extensive multimedia facilities for students to relax as well as a space to study and read.
There is a university radio station called the Voice of Chang Jung, where students can practice their communication and presenting skills. There are also over 60 student clubs and organisations from culture to sport and education, where students can network and make friends while developing life skills. The university holds activities throughout the year where the whole community comes together such as the lighting of the Christmas tree, a Christmas carol gathering and a foot-washing ceremony during commencement.
The university established a faculty care network in Taiwan, providing its faculty members with support relating to health, family relations, life troubles, work pressure and religion.
