Changzhou University is based in Changzhou, Jiangsu province in China. 

It is run by the Jiangsu State Government along with the National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), the National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and Sinopec Petrochemical Corporation.

The university is based across two campuses: Wujin and Xi Taihu campuses, both located in the Wujin district.

It has 21 schools including petrochemical engineering, petroleum and natural gas engineering and energy. There is a strong science, technology and business element, as well as art and design, music and film, social education, foreign studies and the China-Israel Institute of Innovation.

The only doctoral programme, materials science and engineering, is offered in both Chinese and English, as are 14 of the 29 master's courses. Degrees in chemical engineering and techology, petroleum engineering, computer science and technology and international economics and trade are taught in English.
