China University of Political Science and Law was established in 1952 in Beijing, the capital of China.
The university is focused on both researching and teaching law, politics, economics, management, sociology, history, and philosophy. It¡¯s one of the most selective universities to get into in China.
The university has two campuses; the original campus in Haidian District, which is where postgraduate students study, and the Changping campus for undergraduate students. In total there are 18 colleges and faculties, including the law school, and between them they offer 26 undergraduate programmes, 38 doctoral programmes, 78 academic master degree programmes, eight professional master degree programmes and four postdoctoral research programmes.
The university created the first chance to study Chinese law in Beijing with an American Bar Association-approved programme, first inaugurated in 1995 by the Duquesne University School of Law.
