Part of a network of six CV Raman institutions, C.V Raman Global University was founded in 1997. It was awarded university status in February 2020.
It was Initially focussed on engineering and management. However, today the university has faculties of engineering and technology, physical and mathematical sciences, humanities and social sciences, tourism and hospitality, medical science, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and agricultural science.
The college offers four year undergraduate btech degree programmes and two year postgraduate degree mtech programmes.
It is based in Bhubenashwar, the capital of the East Indian state of Odisha. Facilities on campus include six student hostels with a total capacity of 2,500 students. Other facilities include dining facilities, volleyball pitch and basketball courts.
There are a range of sustainability initiatives on campus including energy conservation, renewable energy and water harvesting among others.
