The Department of Accounting and Information Management (DAIM) at Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) invites applications for the position of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems).

FBA is one of the largest faculties in the University and a well-established full-service business faculty with AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS accreditations. It is a distinctive flagship business school in the region, playing a vital role in business and management education with key responsibilities in nurturing the leadership talents for the development of Macao and beyond as its mission states. DAIM has a fast-growing group in business intelligence and analytics. Our faculty members in this group have published in top journals (e.g. Information Systems Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Accounting Research, Operations Research, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Annals of Statistics, JASA, Journal of Econometrics, JBES, Nature Communications). The Department provides its faculty members with excellent research support including a start-up research grant, reasonable teaching load, and state-of-the-art facilities. The Department aims to build a stronger team of business intelligence and analytics scholars in the coming years. Hence, we are conducting a global recruitment of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems).

Qualifications

As part of its strategic development, FBA is conducting a global recruitment of Full Professor in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Information Systems). Applicants should (1) be an established scholar with a doctoral degree in the field of Business Intelligence and Analytics (including Information Systems and other closely related disciplines); (2) have a well-established track record of research excellence substantiated by publication in top-tier journals, and a strong commitment to mentoring junior researchers; and (3) have the ability to teach any undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in Business Intelligence and Analytics.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty by August 2025.

Remuneration

The remuneration is commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Specialist / Laboratory Technician?position is available at the Research Program Unit at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki.

About the position

We are seeking a motivated applicants working on allergy mechanisms using in vitro and in vivo models. The employee will conduct research in a Finnish Research Council funded project focusing on the mechanisms of food allergies and their desensitization. The main task of the Specialist / Laboratory Technician will be to perform experiments in various study set-ups and analyze the obtained data. The position requires hands-on experience and basic knowledge on in vitro and in vivo studies. The position is initially for 10 months, with the possibility for extension through application for further funding.

Qualifications\

Ideal candidate has MSc (or PhD) degree in physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, or a degree in a similar field. Excellent team working and communication skills are required. Successful implementation of the tasks will require ability to work independently and as a member of a group. Strong candidate will have previous experience on cell cultures, immunological methods (e.g. flow cytometry and qPCR) and a FeLaSa certificate.

What we offer

The appointment is fixed term until the end of August 2025 but the position can be extended depending on the availability of funding. A 4-month trial period will be applied.

The salary is based on the job requirement scheme for specialist and support staff according to the salary system of the Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a personal salary component. In total, the starting gross salary is between 2800-3700 EUR per month.
