The OfS is the statutory regulator for higher education in England. Our aim is to ensure that every student, whatever their background, has a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers. We do so by regulating the higher education providers on our register to make sure they are delivering high quality courses and positive outcomes for their students; where they are not, we take action. ?

The higher education sector in England is complex and diverse and the OfS’s approach to regulation recognises this. Our new strategy signals a shift from an organisation in a start-up phase to an established regulator that understands its regulatory tools and how best to use them to shape incentives across the sector we regulate. We work to ensure that students in England enjoy higher education provision that is high quality; that their access to opportunity, success and progression is not limited by background, location or characteristics; and that providers are well and sustainably led.?

We are looking to fill a vital ‘Head of’ role within our Regulation directorate as part of our senior team.

These roles lead our frontline regulation with a broad remit. They have responsibility for a significant portfolio of work across equality, diversity and inclusion, skills and pathways, funding, student information and engagement and conditions of registration.?

The role we are recruiting to now has a particular focus on:?


	Pathways and skills policy, including the implementation of the LLE and managing and distributing OfS recurrent and capital funding to higher education providers ?


You will be people focused, committed to our mission of driving positive outcomes for students, and able to work at pace within complex and ambiguous environments. Regardless of the focus of your portfolio, you will be an experienced leader of people and able to demonstrate an ability to motivate, develop and deliver exceptional results through people across an organisation.?

You will be comfortable making complex risk-based decisions, often in novel circumstances, and will be able to quickly grasp the regulatory and legal frameworks under which the OfS carries out its duties. You will understand the role and value of a regulator and, regardless of your professional background, show an understanding of how effective regulation works in practice. The Senior Coordinator, Marketing Projects (SEBE) is responsible for the management and execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives aimed at enhancing undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment for the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Built Environment (SEBE).

As a Senior Coordinator, Marketing Projects, you will:


	Lead the development, coordination, and execution of marketing projects that promote SEBE courses and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
	Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
	Lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of marketing projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
	Act as the primary liaison between faculty stakeholders and the wider Marketing Division, facilitating effective communication and collaboration on marketing initiatives.
	Prepare regular reports on project outcomes, including key performance metrics, ROI, and other relevant data to inform future strategies.


To be successful, you’ll have: 


	Actively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, analyse problems and weigh up a range of options to negotiate inclusive and accessible solutions. Implement solutions, evaluate effectiveness and adjust actions as required.
	Continually evaluate progress and re-prioritises work based on changing needs and strive for excellence and effectively overcome barriers to achieve outcomes. Monitor progress and risks, adapt personal and team priorities and plans as required.
	Encourage and coach others to question traditional assumptions, review practices and policies and draw on a range of information sources to identify new ways of doing things and ways of being inclusive.
	Promote teamwork across functions to support the achievement of goals and set a positive example of achievement and inspire others to succeed with ethics.
	Actively promote and drive inclusive change using broad influencing skills to gain support and overcome barriers to generate enthusiasm about change.

We are looking for a part-time Climbing Duty Officer to join the team covering all our opening hours, including weekday evenings and weekends. If you have an upbeat, energetic personality, you will find yourself in good company at Surrey Summit.

As a Climbing Duty Officer, you will run sessions across all ages and ability levels, including Squad programmes and GCSE PE sessions for school groups. You will also be booking customers onto these sessions, all as part of a dedicated team of Instructors, receptionists and other Duty Officers. You will have regular opportunities for route setting on our roped and boulder walls. You will be a point of escalation for day-to-day problems the freelance team members might face, reporting back to the Climbing Duty Supervisor should anything require further escalation. Furthermore, you will oversee a specific area of responsibility tailored to your skillset to grow and develop under the guidance of the Climbing Duty Supervisor.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Academic with passion for leading and driving initiatives in a growing University. As the Professor, Nursing and Head of Discipline you will be responsible for strategic leadership within the Institute and you will also represent the Discipline internally and with industry and professional bodies to ensure discipline activities are recognised both nationally and/or internationally. This is also an exceptional opportunity for high performing Associate Professor, looking for your opportunity to step into a Professorial role. The nursing discipline has around 50 Academic staff and it constitutes the largest discipline at Federation University Australia. The nursing leadership at the University consists of the Head of Discipline supported by four Associate Heads of Disciplines who hold several portfolios pertinent to the running of the discipline.

You will:


	provide academic leadership and managerial decision-making in Nursing;
	provide leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of student retention and success strategies;
	foster meaningful partnerships with industry, government, and community groups; and
	lead, develop and maintain an international research profile, contributing to the growth of the Institute through research and teaching.


About you

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:


	an outstanding international scholarly reputation including an outstanding record of research publications in refereed international journals in Nursing;
	experience in establishing, leading and managing research groups;
	extensive leadership and management experience, including a strong record of supervising Doctoral students to completion;
	strong industry connections with industry, government and community groups in Nursing; and
	ability to travel between Victorian campuses regularly.
