Fukuoka Institute of Technology is a private university in Higashi-ku of Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The university can trace its roots back to 1954, and it became a university in 1963.
Students can apply for programmes in the faculty of engineering, information engineering, environmental studies or through the graduate school for engineering or socio-environmental studies.
The Information Technology Centre has more than 5,000 computers for students to use.
The university has partner institutes in the US, Thailand, Korea, China, Australia, Albania, Taiwan, Italy and Canada where students can take part in exchange programmes.
