Located in Oman, Gulf College is a higher education college offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Gulf College¡¯s origins date back to 1990 when it was established in Oman as a vocational training institute. In 1996, the institute began offering master¡¯s degrees through an international arrangement with the University of Hull and has since been granted Higher Education College status.
The college offers a range of undergraduate courses, including: accounting and finance, business, computer science, artificial intelligence, several of which are in academic affiliation with Welsh university, Cardiff Metropolitan University. Full and part time master¡¯s courses are also on offer in a range of subject areas including project management, Islamic finance, and health sector management.
In addition to undergraduate and master¡¯s courses, Gulf College works with the WE Bridge Academy to deliver an International Foundation Programme.
The college has several international partners across the world in the UK and beyond.
In 2014, the college moved into a brand-new, purpose-built campus in Al Mabela, fitted with technology labs, a conference hall, large library, entrepreneur incubator, outdoor Roman theatre, indoor sports stadium and more.
For students of Gulf College there¡¯s a range of student activities on offer throughout the academic year, from sports and clubs to training, workshops and community service. With an indoor sports stadium, football stadium, basketball court, and other recreational facilities, many students like to spend their downtime in a sports team or club.
