Times Higher Education is set to host a forum focusing on how universities can help create peaceful, just and inclusive societies.
The THE University Impact Forum: Peace, Justice?& Strong Institutions will take place in partnership with the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain on 20 and 21 February 2020.
It is the first of several forums that THE will be hosting next year on the United Nations¡¯ Sustainable Development Goals. Last year, THE launched the inaugural University Impact Rankings, which assess global universities¡¯ performance against the SDGs.
This event, focused on SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), will analyse the role that universities can and should play in support of peace, justice and human rights, taking into account their policies, their relationship with public entities and their partnerships with other institutions.
