Instituto Superior de Ci那ncias da Educa??o da Hu赤la began life in 1980, as a department of Agostinho Neto University, in the capital city of Luanda. In 2009, it became an autonomous higher-education institution, moving to the city of Lubango, in South-Western Angola.
ISCED-Huila is the oldest of the teacher-training institutions in Angola. It offers 13 degrees at undergraduate level, including pedagogy and educational computing, as well as most other high-school curriculum subjects.
ISCED-Huila publishes its own academic journal, Revista Cientifica do ISCED-Huila, examining teaching methodologies and issues of teaching and learning.
