Instituto Superior Polit¨¦cnico do Cuanza Sul?was preceded by the Instituto Superior Agrario, an agriculture and agronomy college established in 1999. In 2009, it was converted into the Instituto Superior Polit¨¦cnico, in the central Angolan province of Cuanza Sul ¨C or South Kwanza.
The university has retained its original focus, and courses fall under three departments: agricultural sciences, environment and fisheries; administration and business; and health sciences. In fact, ISPCS offers only five undergraduate degrees, in: agricultural business management; agronomy; animal science; nursing; and accounting and management.
ISPCS publishes a research journal and has an onsite research centre. Its researchers participate in national conferences on science, technology and innovation.?
