?stinye ?niversity is a private university located in the Turkish capital of Istanbul. It was established as recently as 2015. Funding for the institution came from the MLP Care Group, the largest healthcare company in Turkey.
As well as medicine, health sciences and pharmacy, the university also has a number of other faculties. These include art and science, economics, administrative and social sciences, and fine arts, design and architecture.
One of the latest programmes the university has begun to offer is civil aviation and cabin services. The first students on this course began studying when the new Istanbul Airport opened in September 2019. It will be one of the largest airports in the world.
?stinye University's current main base is in the Topkapi region of Istanbul. Its building can host up to 4,000 students across its 37 classrooms and 47 laboratories. Facilities include a gym, library and two conference rooms. Plans are underway for the university to open an additional campus in the ?stinye region, from which the institution draws its name.
The university operates two new and state-of-the-art hospitals, one in Istinye and one in Essenyert on the outskirts of the European side of Istanbul.
Agreements for Erasmus exchanges already exist with a number of other universities across Europe. These include the Warsaw University of Technology in Poland, the Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Granada in Spain. ?stinye University also has bilateral agreements with institutions in South Korea, Iran, Albania, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Pakistan, the United States, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
