Jadara University was established in 2005, a year after it was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The university is located in Irbid, a city in northern Jordan.
The university is organised into eight academic faculties: faculty of pharmacy, faculty of engineering, faculty of science and information technology, faculty of business, faculty of arts and languages, faculty of education technology, faculty of law, and the faculty of graduate studies. Within these faculties the university offers eight masters programmes and 31 bachelors programmes.
Throughout the academic year the university hosts a variety of conferences. These include the Pharmacy Conference, the Educational Conference, the Law Conference and the JUST Conference. The JUST Conference consists of engineers and scientists from around the world who discuss the sustainability and resilience of engineering.
At the heart of the university are seven main values: quality and excellence, justice and integrity, respect, team spirit, transparency and accountability, acceptance, and continuous learning.
