The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Banna on one or more of the following topics:


	Random matrix theory
	Free probability theory
	High-dimensional probability, concentration and functional inequalities
	Mathematical aspects of quantum information theory, machine learning and deep neural networks.


While excellent candidates with other research interests might be considered, priority will be given to those able to relate to one or more of the above topics. Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science obtained within the last 5 years.

Applications will be accepted immediately and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. The anticipated starting date is January 1, 2025 and the successful applicant will be appointed until December 31, 2026.

The terms of employment are generous and internationally competitive, including housing and educational subsidies for children.

Description

The Mathematics Program in the Science Division, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a post-doctoral associate to work on one or more of the following topics: Mathematical Physics, Spectral Theory, Quantum Chaos, Large Graphs and Quantum Walks. Related areas such as Quantum Information can also be considered. This position is offered through the research funds of Mostafa Sabri.

The Mathematics Program at NYUAD is quickly expanding, the candidate will find many international experts and postdocs with whom to interact. Weekly seminars are in place across the various research areas represented at NYUAD. The successful applicant will also receive a mobility credit to participate in conferences.

Applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics, with a strong background in one of the advertised topics, as well as an excellent academic record. Candidates with PhDs in Physics or Computer Science may also be considered if they willing to collaborate with mathematicians on these topics.

For consideration, applicants need to submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae with a full publication list, a research statement, a transcript, and at least two letters of reference, all in PDF format. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed twice. In the first interview, the candidate will give a talk summarizing earlier research. The second interview will be to discuss a research project in collaboration with Mostafa Sabri around the aforementioned topics. Candidates are advised to reflect upon such collaborations and include them in the research statement before applying.

About CRSA:
The Center for Remote Sensing Applications (CRSA) is an interdisciplinary research center within UM6P that spans multiple academic programs. CRSA focuses on addressing food and water security challenges in Africa, with a particular emphasis on the use of multi-source remotely sensed data. The center’s research aims to improve the understanding of surface processes and their interactions with climate and human activities, with an emphasis on the sustainable management of natural resources (soil, land, water, and agriculture) in the context of climate change. One of CRSA’s primary objectives is to provide decision- support tools and services to local, national, and international users in water and food systems.

Job description:?
We are seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Researcher to join our team at the Centre for Remote Sensing Applications (CRSA). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our research project focused on leveraging hyperspectral remote sensing for soil fertility mapping and crop nutrient management in selected African nations. The Post-Doctoral Researcher will be responsible for conducting innovative research and developing advanced data fusion techniques to integrate hyperspectral data from multiple sources, including UAVs, Earth Observation satellites, and proximal spectroradiometers. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research that addresses critical challenges in agricultural sustainability and food security across Africa.

Key Duties:
-?? ?Conduct research to develop advanced data fusion techniques for integrating hyperspectral data for soil fertility mapping.
-?? ?Collaborate with project team members to collect and analyze hyperspectral data using UAVs, Earth Observation satellites, and proximal spectroradiometers.
-?? ?Lead efforts to validate and calibrate hyperspectral data for soil fertility mapping and crop nutrient management assessments.
-?? ?Contribute to the development of spectral libraries and hyperspectral imagery for soil fertility mapping and crop monitoring.

As the Senior Compliance Advisor (International), you will support our international and third-party education partners compliance framework and provide quality advice to stakeholders.

You will be responsible for day-to-day management of an International Compliance Advisor within the team. The post holder will be an active member of the academic management team and will teach and co-ordinate singing classes across all courses.
RBC is seeking an individual who has expertise in the teaching of singing to actors, rooted in Estill Voice Craft. The full-time post will be key to the development of contemporary music theatre in the RBC Acting curriculum. As we review our overall provision, this is an exciting time to be part of the team involved in these potential new course developments.

You will be responsible for the sourcing and management of a range of Visiting Tutors of Singing and accompanists.

The capacity to work as an accompanist and an MD would be an advantage.?
