Kibabii University gained university status in 2011.
Students can study across schools of science, business and economics, arts and social science, education, and computer and information science.
An Innovation Hub, funded by the Erasmus+ programme opened in 2020. It was one of six Kenyan universities to take part in a training programme for health educators provided by the University of Manchester.
Students can stay in the student hostels on the 28 hectare campus.
The student affairs office supports student welfare and organises events and clubs for students.
