Kokshetau State University was founded in 1962 in the city of Kokshetau, Kazakhstan.
The university was named after the Sheikh Ualikhanov who was a Kazakh scientist, historian, ethnographer and geographer. The university offers bachelor*s, master*s and doctoral degrees in the fields on natural science and general medicine.
Four main study areas are offered at the university, which include: general medicine, nursing, dentistry and pharmacy. Courses are mostly taught in the English language.
Students have the opportunity to study abroad in Europe and Russia during or after their course, made easy by the university*s European Credits Transfer System in the curriculum.
Students can stay at the KSU hostel while studying which includes separate gender hostels and a range of communal facilities.
