The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (University of Macau) invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor, who will also be a joint faculty member in the Faculty of Science and Technology, in the following disciplines:

Faculty of Science and Technology - FST

Faculty of Science and Technology aims to provide programmes for undergraduate and graduate education with quality reaching international standard. It strives to become a research active unit advancing the knowledge of engineering and science, and serves the community and industry as an agent of technological innovation and educational advancement. Qualifications


	A PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related disciplines;?
	A distinguished record of internationally-recognized research and scholarship;
	Demonstrable competence in communication; and
	English is the working language, while knowledge in Chinese/Portuguese will be an advantage.


The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. As a university assistant prae-doc, you will join the research team of Prof. Yavuz K?se in the Department of Near Eastern Studies. As a center for the study of the Near and Middle East, including North Africa, the institute is not merely the only institution of its kind in Austria, but is also one of the largest such institutes in central Europe. Third-party funded projects and teaching concentrates on Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Assyriology), Near Eastern Archaeology, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, and Turkish Studies with special emphasis on Ottoman Studies and research on contemporary Turkey.?The employment duration is?3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of?4 years?is possible.

We are looking for applicants who wish to qualify themselves through their own research and subsequent dissertation in the field of Ottoman history and culture, and who would like to get involved in the various projects and research foci of our department (especially Digital Humanities and Ottoman Studies, Armeno-Turkish, Cultural Heritage, Environmental History). About the role

As a Research Fellow you will be part of an international interdisciplinary and multi-institutional research team in the area of One Health. You will be part of a multi-state research project implementing community-based mental wellbeing and disaster preparedness programs in natural hazard-prone rural communities across NSW, SA and WA. The project will also assess longer-term mental health outcomes of rural Australians. This project will critically contribute to rural health, disaster preparedness, and protecting mental health and wellbeing in the face of climate change. Your role will include supporting the establishment and implementation of the research project, overseeing data collection, contributing to quantitative, qualitative and/or longitudinal data analysis, and preparation of publications, reports and conference presentations. You will work independently under guidance of the chief investigator team, and in collaboration with the trial coordinator and research assistants, and help to supervise postgraduate or Honours students.

	A PhD or extensive research experience in psychology or health

???????The School of Psychology currently has an exciting opportunity for a research fellow within the new One Health research pillar. The School of Psychology at UNE is rated at well above world standard for research across topic areas, with key research streams including Environmental Psychology, and Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing in Rural Communities.

The Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing Research Group comprises academics with a particular focus on understanding the mental health of those living in rural populations, including in response to natural disasters such as drought and fires which particularly impact rural communities. The Environmental Psychology and Climate Change Research Group comprises academic staff and students who are interested in how psychological principles can be applied to understand and help solve problems related to environmental sustainability and helping individuals and communities adapt to climate change. Projects examine the impacts of climate change and resultant natural hazards such as fire, flood, cyclones and drought on health and wellbeing. Research projects also focus on how to build resilient individuals and communities, including through interventions to support the well-being of those affected by natural hazards and climate anxiety.

The Institute for Labour and Social Law is one of the leading teaching and research institutions in Austria dealing with central problems of Austrian and European labour law and law of social security.
