You will:

You will possess:


	Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant business field;
	Demonstrated expertise in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive data analysis within business and commerce;
	Proven high-quality teaching experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Statistics;
	A track record as an effective educator, with the ability to design, develop, and deliver higher education curricula;
	A consistent record of research publications in high-ranking journals in business and commerce, evidenced by publications in ABDC-ranked journals (A or higher); and
	Evidence of applying advanced statistical analysis methods in business and commerce research.


Desirable 


	Postgraduate qualifications in higher education.
	Industry certifications in data science, data analytics, statistics, cloud computing, machine learning or artificial intelligence.
	Research expertise in psychometrics, including Structural Equation Modelling, mediation and moderation analysis, multi-group analysis and latent variable modelling.
	Expertise in online and asynchronous curriculum development.

The Position

This position is funded by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science, which explores societal impacts of optical frequency combs through advances in physics, materials science, and nanofabrication.

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) has recently revolutionised seismology by turning telecommunication fiber-optic cables into high-resolution ground motion sensors. This cutting-edge technology bridges the gap between traditional seismic imaging and geological samples, offering a wide range of applications.

The Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow will work on the deployment, acquisition, analysis and interpretation of large DAS datasets and development of technical advances using optical frequency microcombs.? The goal is to expand the capability of our strong field-based seismic imaging research utilising DAS with new technology innovations through the ARC Centre of Excellence COMBS, and therefore understanding of the Earth’s structure and evolution.

The Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow will be a member of?Research School of Earth Sciences?(RSES). RSES is Australia’s leading academic research institution for Earth and Marine Sciences, and ranked 11th in the world for Earth and Marine Sciences (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023). The Department of Mathematics (MAT) of the Faculty of Science and Technology invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in the area of Statistics. This position is intended to complement and strengthen the expertise of existing staff members. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in terms of scientific publications, and a commitment to teaching and student supervision.

MAT currently has 18 faculty members and more than 40 PhD students, their research areas cover Probability and Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, and Analysis. The department offers Bachelor, Master and PhD degree programs. The Bachelor degree program has two streams: Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science. The PhD program provides sufficient financial supports through the following funding sources: Chinese Government NSFC Funding, Macau Government FDCT PhD Funding, UM PhD Scholarship, UM PhD Assistantship.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related areas; Preference will be given to candidates with a strong research record in Statistics, Applied Probability or Data Science. The department is working on developing a Master program in applied statistics.? The successful candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the program.? The candidates for appointment at the rank of Full Professor must have achieved a high level of distinction and recognition, and have made significant contributions to a related research area.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in March 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approx. USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approx. USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. The Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Full Professor of Portuguese Literature. The Department of Portuguese is an established and lively scholarly community. About the Role?

Under the direction of the Dean of Programs (UniSA College), the Aboriginal Pathway (AP) Program Regional Tutor is responsible for providing high quality teaching and learning experiences for students enrolled into AP programs in the regions.

The AP Program Regional Tutor will contribute to student support as well as quality assurance and improvement. The AP Program Regional Tutor plays a role in the growth of the AP programs through promoting and representing the AP programs within and external to the University and for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with external stakeholders and communities.

The?Aboriginal Pathway Program?is designed and tailored for Aboriginal students to develop the skills necessary for successful tertiary study leading to entry into UniSA degrees. The program is delivered in four regional areas of South Australia (Ceduna, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and Mount Gambier) and was introduced into metropolitan Adelaide (at the City West campus) in 2018. The program is offered to eligible Aboriginal peoples with no tuition fees incurred by the student. After an initial 3 year delivery period, with the successful enrolment and completion numbers of students completing the program and subsequently transitioning into their chosen undergraduate degree. ?

Core Responsibilities


	Deliver teaching materials and ongoing tutorial support for students by implementing appropriate teaching approaches including face to face, online and blended learning, to promote student learning and engagement
	Engage in student consultation to provide local learning support for students to assist retention and success, and direct students at risk to the Program Director: APP and Regions for academic counselling
	Participate in marking and grade moderation as part of quality assurance
	Under the direction of, and in collaboration with, the Program Director: APP and Regions, implement strategies to ensure the programs meet the needs and expectations of relevant stakeholders including students, the university, and community
	Liaise with Pastoral Care Support Officer and Wirringka Student Services to ensure Aboriginal Tutorial Assistance (ATP) tutoring is provided in a timely, efficient and effective manner

	A sound understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking enabling courses

	Demonstrated ability and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies including familiarity with online tools and Learning Management Systems, grade moderation and student consultation
