The Analytical Services Laboratory, based in the School of Science at the University of Greenwich at Medway, seeks a skilled, dedicated laboratory technician to assist in the preparation of commercial samples for inorganic chemical and mineralogical testing. Applicants will be expected to perform a range of tasks within the laboratory including the reception and labelling of samples, the preparation of samples and their analysis by instrumental techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS CHN, XRD and XRF (with training provided as required). The successful candidate will deliver consistent, high quality, accurate work and maintain good laboratory practices at all times. About the Role

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, face-to-face teaching of undergraduate subjects within the School of Physics, using innovative, evidence-based methods for teaching and assessment. You will inspire students through dynamic lectures, tutorials, practicals, and workshops, while also coordinating subjects, assessing student performance, and providing support through consultations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of subject content and teaching materials, with opportunities to explore pedagogical research and drive innovation within the School’s teaching practices.

Your responsibilities will include:


	Deliver select lectures, tutorials, practicals and/or workshops.?
	Contribute to the coordination, development and delivery of subject modules and subject / course material, with particular focus on First Year teaching in Physics.?
	Contribute to the development, marking and compilation of assessments, including assignments and examinations.?
	Participate in current teaching and assessment best practice initiatives in the School of Physics and Faculty of Science.?
	Provide academic mentoring and assistance to students?
	Contribute to teaching innovation in the School.?
	Provide training, mentoring and ongoing support for teaching practices within the School. This would be provided to tutors, demonstrators and all sessional and continuing staff undertaking educational?activities.??


Who We Are Looking For

You will be deeply passionate about both physics and education, with a strong commitment to enhancing student learning and fostering curiosity and critical thinking. Your enthusiasm for teaching will drive you to inspire students and continuously improve your teaching methods.

You will also have:


	A PhD in physics and/or relevant experience in teaching or research.
	Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the capacity to explain material plainly and constructively.
	Evidence of contributions in lecturing and tutoring; and a commitment to teaching and contributing to undergraduate and/or graduate teaching programs
	Ability to improvise and adapt to new demands, including exploring and implementing different teaching methods

The Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Senior Instructor of Portuguese. The Department of Portuguese is an established and lively scholarly community. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in Portuguese Studies concentrating on Portuguese with selected courses in Language, Linguistics, Literature, Culture, History and Translation. At the undergraduate level, the Department also teaches Portuguese language within the Faculty of Law and offers elective courses in Portuguese as a foreign language to students from all faculties of the University. At the postgraduate level, the Department offers two Master programmes (i) Portuguese Language and Intercultural Studies; (ii) Translation Studies (Portuguese-Chinese), as well as one PhD programme covering different topics of Portuguese Studies.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Master degree in Portuguese Linguistics, Portuguese Literary/Cultural Studies, or Teaching of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. Applicants should have extensive experience in teaching Portuguese to non-native speakers at university level. Previous experience in teaching initial and advanced levels Portuguese to native speakers of Chinese will be highly valued. Applicants must be native speakers of Portuguese or to show a near-native command of the language. Proficient command of English is mandatory.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP611,940 (approximately USD75,550) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. About the Position

This rare opportunity will be offered to an outstanding leader and researcher for an initial three-year appointment with the intention of extension if agreed performance outcomes are met. Established in 2010, the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare (IEBH) is currently Bond University's only whole-of-University interdisciplinary research Institute. We aim to guide individuals and groups to consider ways to provide sustainable, evidence-based healthcare and how research can better inform policy and practice. The Institute aims to improve healthcare by better understanding the causes of, and solutions to, gaps between research evidence and its application in practice and policy. The Evidence-Based Practice Unit (EBPU) is a team of experienced research professionals located at the Gold Coast University Hospital. We provide GCHHS staff with support in using, conducting, and translating high-quality research and activities into practice. This is a joint initiative between Bond University and the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) located on-site in Southport. The Unit aims to improve the efficiency and quality of care patients receive and deliver translation research that also uplifts clinician-researcher and EMCR capacity at the GCHHS.

About the person

We are seeking an energetic and proactive leader, ideally a clinician-researcher, who brings strategic vision, academic rigor, and proven experience in clinical environments and multidisciplinary team collaboration. This role is based at Bond University's Robina campus and the Evidence-Based Practice Unit at Gold Coast Hospital, Southport.

In this senior academic leadership position, you will contribute to the leadership, management and strategic direction of the Institute for Evidence-based Healthcare and lead a program of clinical research that aligns with the major Institute themes.

Reporting to the Director of the Institute, you will provide direction for the Evidence-Based Practice Unit based at GCHHS. The portfolio at GCHHS includes uplifting research capability and delivery in implementation science, research and teaching, contracting and support services such as statistics and philanthropy. Additionally, you will be instrumental in building research and clinical capacity among the hospitals and Institute staff.
