Maranatha Christian University was originally established in 1965 with just one faculty, the faculty of medicine.
Today, the university consists of nine faculties: medicine, dentistry, psychology, engineering, information technology, economics, law, humanities, and art and design. There are a number of departments within each faculty offering various undergraduate degree programmes.
For postgraduate students there are five degree programmes available to study: management, accounting, psychology, psychological science, and computer science.
Alongside their studies, students are encouraged to participate in the university¡¯s extra-curricular activities. There are a wide range of clubs and societies available for students to join such as diving, kung fu, and taekwondo.
The university has developed partnerships with higher education institutions across the globe in order to facilitate academic and scientific exchanges. It has developed partnerships in countries including China, India, New Zealand, Taiwan, Netherlands, and Malaysia.
There are two international programmes on offer for students at the university: the International Summer School and the Student Exchange Programme.
The university is located in Bandung, the capital of West Java, Indonesia.
