About the Role

The Lecturer in Paramedicine will play a pivotal role in advancing teaching and learning within the Bachelor of Paramedicine programs at the College of Medicine and Public Health. The successful candidate will independently enhance the educational experience by integrating innovative teaching practices and technologies, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in both instruction and the scholarship of teaching.

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	Clinical qualifications in paramedicine and current registration (or ability to obtain) with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA)/AHPRA
	Experience with teaching and learning at a tertiary level and/or in an appropriate workplace setting, inclusive of simulation
	Good understanding of context appropriate assessment techniques and capacity to provide constructive feedback and evidence of a student-centred approach
	The ability to obtain and maintain an authority to practice as a paramedic with SA Ambulance Service or St John Ambulance NT
	Experience or capability to engage with students (and deliver teaching modules) via online learning platforms
	Successful and independent innovation in learning and teaching delivery or design, including use of e-learning technologies.


Level C

About the Role

The Senior Lecturer will take on a leadership role in fostering excellence in teaching and learning across the Paramedicine curriculum within the College of Medicine and Public Health. This position entails making substantial contributions to both teaching leadership and the scholarship of teaching, utilizing innovative practices and technologies to enhance educational outcomes. A deep understanding of contemporary paramedicine clinical practice will be essential. Additionally, the Senior Lecturer will play a vital role in serving the College and University, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic academic environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	Completion of a PhD and/or qualifications and equivalent clinical experience in paramedicine
	Current registration (or ability to obtain) with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA)
	Significant and sustained evidence of experience with development, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning at a tertiary level and/or in an appropriate workplace setting, inclusive of simulation
	Evidence of application of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline
	The ability to obtain and maintain an authority to practice as a paramedic with SA Ambulance Service or St John Ambulance NT
	Significant track record and demonstrated evidence of successful relevant paramedicine teaching experience and leadership at tertiary level, including responsibility for topic coordination, course coordination and curriculum design, reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.

The Position

This position is funded by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science, which explores societal impacts of optical frequency combs through advances in physics, materials science, and nanofabrication.

Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) has recently revolutionised seismology by turning telecommunication fiber-optic cables into high-resolution ground motion sensors. This cutting-edge technology bridges the gap between traditional seismic imaging and geological samples, offering a wide range of applications.

The Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow will work on the deployment, acquisition, analysis and interpretation of large DAS datasets and development of technical advances using optical frequency microcombs.? The goal is to expand the capability of our strong field-based seismic imaging research utilising DAS with new technology innovations through the ARC Centre of Excellence COMBS, and therefore understanding of the Earth’s structure and evolution.

You actively participate in scientific teaching, research & administration, which means:

	You will make an active contribution to the (further) development of course and examination formats, help to determine the requirements for the necessary technical infrastructure and coordinate these with the relevant bodies.
	We expect from you the ongoing reception of the current state of science as well as continuing didactic training.
	In addition, the assumption of administrative tasks, especially in the administration of teaching, is part of the job profile.

The Department of Portuguese of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for the position of Full Professor of Portuguese Literature. The Department of Portuguese is an established and lively scholarly community. The Department offers an undergraduate degree in Portuguese Studies concentrating on Portuguese with selected courses in Language, Linguistics, Literature, Culture, History and Translation. At the undergraduate level, the Department also teaches Portuguese language within the Faculty of Law and offers elective courses in Portuguese as a foreign language to students from all faculties of the University. Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD and, preferably any higher degree or habilitation, in Portuguese Literature or related areas. Excellent record of academic publications and scientific research in Portuguese Literature, strong evidence of influential participation in the internationally most reputed academic circles of Portuguese Studies, and outstanding experience in teaching/research in Higher Education Institutions are fundamental requirements for this position. Applicants should also demonstrate clear, consistent ideas about their future leading role in the field of Portuguese Literature within the academic framework of the University of Macau. They should be native speakers of Portuguese or have a native-like command of the language. A good command of English and good communicational skills are also required.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2025.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
