Mondragon University is a non-profit cooperative private university in the Basque Country. It can trace its origins back to 1943.
The current university was created in 1997 when three pre-existing educational cooperatives involved with the Mondragon Corporation merged to create Mondragon University, with the mission of creating a university to meet the needs of businesses.
Today there are four faculties including engineering, business studies, humanities and education and gastronomic sciences. The latter provides courses on the regions unique culture language and distinct culinary traditions.
Between the campuses there are multiple accommodation options and cafeterias. There are opportunities for students to compete in sports teams.
