Postdoctoral Researcher

Masaryk University, Faculty of Economics and Administration, is looking for a?highly motivated and productive Postdoctoral Researcher on the following fields: business management with an emphasis on human resource management, strategic management, sustainable business management, or business information technology management. We are offering a?full-time early career position with a?3-year contract.

The position is designed to allow the candidate to work in one of three established teams corresponding to the candidate’s background and research focus. The main agenda will be publishing papers?in international top journals within the field, attracting external research funding, and developing international research cooperation. Limited participation in teaching (both lecturing and tutoring in English) is also a?part of the job.

We are looking for a?candidate:


	In the early career stage after the Ph.D. graduation,
	with a?Ph.D. degree (or expected to get the degree by June 2025) in business management, business administration, human resource management, economics, finance, psychology, or a?related field from a?respected ranked university,
	with research interest in?strategic management, sustainable business management, business technology management, or human resource management, which is evident from the candidate's?previous research and other activities,
	with excellent background in statistics and quantitative research methods relevant to the field,
	potential to publish in leading international scientific journals,
	able to discuss, write, and teach in English (at least C1 level),
	ready to start the job in February 2025 or in September 2025.


What does the position entail?


	Planning and conducting research studies, writing research manuscripts,
	active collaboration with other department members on research and teaching,
	publishing research papers in leading international journals,
	submission of grant proposals,
	international research and project collaboration,
	participation in teaching bachelor and master courses for 2 -?4 hours a?week, 24 weeks per year,
	supervision of student theses,
	popularization of own research agenda to the public.


What do we offer?


	A full-time (40 hours a?week) Postdoctoral Researcher position at one of the highest-ranked universities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
	A 3-year initial contract.
	The monthly salary from 57?000 CZK (i.e. €2,400) before taxes (gross average wage in the Czech Republic is around €1800/month, median wage is €1500/month; your salary will be burdened with 20 – 25% income taxes). In the case of meeting the annual goals, the employee is entitled to bonuses.

The Analytical Services Laboratory, based in the School of Science at the University of Greenwich at Medway, seeks a skilled, dedicated laboratory technician to assist in the preparation of commercial samples for inorganic chemical and mineralogical testing. Applicants will be expected to perform a range of tasks within the laboratory including the reception and labelling of samples, the preparation of samples and their analysis by instrumental techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS CHN, XRD and XRF (with training provided as required). The successful candidate will deliver consistent, high quality, accurate work and maintain good laboratory practices at all times. Reporting to the Undergraduate (UG) Student Recruitment Manager, the Officer will contribute to the University’s strategic growth by leading initiatives across schools, colleges of further education, and career exhibitions.

They will be responsible for supporting the Undergraduate Student Recruitment Manager in creating and executing a strategic recruitment plan for domestic growth. This includes developing targeted outreach and marketing campaigns that enhance the University’s presence in schools, colleges of further education, and career exhibitions. The Officer will lead the Schools Liaison programme (including the School Visits and Career Exhibition calendar), ensuring alignment with the University’s strategic objectives and effective execution of recruitment initiatives across key regions. They will coordinate a comprehensive calendar of events, identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement and strategically target areas for growth.

In addition to event and programme coordination, the Officer will use historical data to design and refine recruitment strategies, tracking outcomes to enhance impact. They will also collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing Office and external agencies to manage annual undergraduate recruitment campaigns. Relationship-building with external stakeholders, including schools and guidance counselors, is a critical part of the role, as is overseeing key outreach activities such as career fairs and the schools outreach programme.

This dynamic role requires a highly organised, strategic thinker with experience in marketing, stakeholder engagement, outreach coordination, and leadership, ideally within the context of education or recruitment. The Schools, Outreach, and Marketing Officer will be a crucial contributor to the University's growth strategy, representing Maynooth University to prospective students and influencers across Ireland.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. The Institute integrates partner organisations (Massey University (host), Auckland and Otago Universities, AgResearch and Plant and Food Research) and disciplines, leading a 'NZ Inc' approach to food research, and generates knowledge and capability that transforms the New Zealand food industry.

We are seeking a high-achieving Senior Research Officer to work as part of the Sustainable Nutrition Initiative? team. The role will contribute to multiple projects, most notably food system modelling contributing to open access national models incorporating nutrition.

A primary focus for this key position will be to develop a model for the Kenyan food system. This involves synthesising data to create an interactive food system scenario model, in collaboration with our international partners. Strong relationship building skills and a willingness to travel to Kenya as part of the role will be required.

As the successful candidate you will have completed a PhD in mathematics, statistics, data science, nutrition, food, or agriculture, ideally with demonstrated expertise in modelling and nutrition datasets. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as high motivation and enthusiasm to work with an interdisciplinary team.

The salary will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of Senior Research Officer ($101,724 - $143,948 NZD) for a full-time (37.5h p/w), fixed-term period of three years located in Palmerston North.
