Namal University is a private institution situated in Rikhi, Mianwali District, Punjab, Pakistan. It was founded in 2008 and initially operated as an affiliated college of the University of Bradford, UK. In 2019, it attained the status of a Degree Awarding Institute (DAI) and was officially named Namal Institute.
The university is overseen by Imran Khan, who also chairs the Board of Governors of Namal Education Foundation, the organisation supporting Namal Knowledge City, of which the institute is a part.
The university's campus is located near Namal Lake and spans over 1000 acres of land. It offers several undergraduate programmes, including BSc (Hons) in computer science, BSc in electrical engineering, bachelor of business administration (BBA), and BSc (Hons) in mathematics. Notably, a significant portion of the student body receives financial support.
Namal Institute has established academic collaborations with the University of Mianwali and maintains an advisory relationship with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). It is affiliated with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Pakistan Engineering Council.
