The National Film and Television School was established in 1971. It specialises in film, television and games. The school has developed some of Britain's and the world*s top creative talent, for which it has won the 2018 BAFTA for Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema and the Queen*s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.
The school is based in Beaconsfield, a town in Buckinghamshire, southeastern England.
From full-time to part-time, short and online courses, the school has a variety of programmes available for students to study. There are more than 30 MA, diploma and certificate courses on offer across a variety of areas including cinematography, directing and producing, and screenwriting. Students are taught by industry professionals and are given access to state-of-the-art facilities.
Every year the school*s community of students make around 150 films on courses that are over 90 per cent practical.
