Northeast Ohio Medical University specialises in medicine, pharmacy and health sciences education. The university was founded in 1973 in Rootstown, Ohio.
The university has three colleges, six research focus areas and 12 degree and certificate programmes including anesthesia, biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacy, health research, health system pharmacy administration, pharmaceutical medicine, pharmaceutical medicine, medical ethics and humanities and public health. These courses range from a master¡¯s degree to a doctorate degree.
In addition to its degree programmes, the university offers pre-medical and pre-pharmacy programmes for students who are interested in pursuing healthcare. These educational programmes help students learn about their desired career path prior to entering a degree.

These events include the White Coat Ceremony in student¡¯s first years where they pledge their commitment to their professions and the patients they will serve. There¡¯s also Match Day for fourth-year students when they choose their specialty, and commencement for graduates.
