About the Role?

You will be responsible for undertaking research related activities associated with the project titled “Cultivating Systemic Safety to Prevent Workplace Sexual Harassment” funded via an ARC Linkage Project Agreement. This project sits within the Centre for Workplace Excellence, in partnership with 12 organisations who play an important role in understanding the origins of sexual harassment in the workplace in Australia, and are working to mitigate this problem.

Workplace sexual harassment is a significant issue, costing our economy more than $3.5 billion each year. It disrupts business operations and slows progress in achieving gender equality at work. Traditional prevention methods include policies, training, and reporting, which focus on the behaviour itself without addressing its root causes. This misdirection of effort is a major reason why the problem persists. The project will learn more about the origins of sexual harassment in the organisational system – looking deeper into aspects like organisational culture, social dynamics, job and task characteristics, technology, and the physical work environment – and develop new evidence-based prevention strategies.?

You will proactively support and contribute to high quality research through advanced qualitative analysis, competitive research grant activities, as well as actively participate in research concentrations and other relevant collaborative forums, to deliver high quality research outcomes.

	Coordinate implementation of the project, including research activities, project governance, and stakeholder relationships

	Demonstrated advanced skills in quantitative research methods and analysis, including conducting interviews and focus groups on sensitive topics, and using NVIVO and other relevant statistical packages
	Proven ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, with demonstrated effectiveness in active engagement in partnered research and translation activities
	Demonstrated organisational and time management skills together with resourcefulness and initiative to manage multiple priorities and demands

About the Position

This rare opportunity will be offered to an outstanding leader and researcher for an initial three-year appointment with the intention of extension if agreed performance outcomes are met. At Bond University, there is currently an increasing focus on research that improves all areas of health with a focus on excellence, innovation and implementation of evidence-based care. The panel will determine the appointment level based on the incumbent's track record and level of achievement.

Established in 2010, the Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare (IEBH) is currently Bond University's only whole-of-University interdisciplinary research Institute. The Institute engages with a globally connected team of highly skilled, interdisciplinary researchers and educators. We aim to guide individuals and groups to consider ways to provide sustainable, evidence-based healthcare and how research can better inform policy and practice. The Institute aims to improve healthcare by better understanding the causes of, and solutions to, gaps between research evidence and its application in practice and policy. The Institute also aims to enhance Bond's reputation as Australia's leading private, independent, not-for-profit University.

The Evidence-Based Practice Unit (EBPU) is a team of experienced research professionals located at the Gold Coast University Hospital. We provide GCHHS staff with support in using, conducting, and translating high-quality research and activities into practice. This is a joint initiative between Bond University and the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) located on-site in Southport. The Unit aims to improve the efficiency and quality of care patients receive and deliver translation research that also uplifts clinician-researcher and EMCR capacity at the GCHHS.

About the person

We are seeking an energetic and proactive leader, ideally a clinician-researcher, who brings strategic vision, academic rigor, and proven experience in clinical environments and multidisciplinary team collaboration. This role is based at Bond University's Robina campus and the Evidence-Based Practice Unit at Gold Coast Hospital, Southport.

In this senior academic leadership position, you will contribute to the leadership, management and strategic direction of the Institute for Evidence-based Healthcare and lead a program of clinical research that aligns with the major Institute themes.

Reporting to the Director of the Institute, you will provide direction for the Evidence-Based Practice Unit based at GCHHS. The portfolio at GCHHS includes uplifting research capability and delivery in implementation science, research and teaching, contracting and support services such as statistics and philanthropy. Additionally, you will be instrumental in building research and clinical capacity among the hospitals and Institute staff.

As a university assistant prae-doc, you will join the research team of Prof. Yavuz K?se in the Department of Near Eastern Studies. As a center for the study of the Near and Middle East, including North Africa, the institute is not merely the only institution of its kind in Austria, but is also one of the largest such institutes in central Europe. Third-party funded projects and teaching concentrates on Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Assyriology), Near Eastern Archaeology, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, and Turkish Studies with special emphasis on Ottoman Studies and research on contemporary Turkey.?The employment duration is?3 years. Your workplace:

As a Senior Lecturer, you will be working in the field of theoretical foundations of computer science. You will primarily design and lead introductory and in-depth courses on topics such as algorithms and data structures, fundamentals of intelligent systems, mathematical foundations of computer science, fundamentals of numerical computing and introduction to mathematical modelling. In addition, you will work on the design and implementation of an extension curriculum in Artificial Intelligence. You will further develop the courses you supervise in line with the current state of research and coordinate their content with the other courses in the curriculum. You will organise the courses according to modern didactic principles, taking into account the discipline-specific requirements of computer science. You are involved in defining the requirements for the necessary infrastructure and coordinate these with the relevant departments.

The employment level of 40 hours/week includes an average teaching obligation of 14 semester hours per week of academic teaching.
